Our Impact Report is here! 🌈🏭♻️ American manufacturing is central to our ethos of making it our business to do good, and last year we shifted our focus from expanding production to making responsibly made tile more accessible with high-volume, budget-friendly tile like our Natural Press product line. From switching to solar power in our Aromas Factory to being the only known tile company producing 100% carbon neutral tile, our commitment to our stakeholders–our environment, our teammates, our communities, our clients, and our partners–drives us to continually reduce environmental impact while enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction. For our growing team, we increased our starting wage and enhanced employee benefits while continuing to cultivate a culture of safety in our factories by achieving a 20% reduction in recordable incidents (exceeding our goal of 15%!). For our community, we helped raise more than $64,000 to support Black women pursuing architecture via the #ArchitectsFoundation, launched our first Annual Day of Service with over 2,500 volunteer hours, and maintained our Pledge1% commitment to projects in need like @detroitachievement. For our customers, we introduced the budget-friendly Natural Press line, making values-minded design more accessible, and built a new Glass Tile Factory in Spokane, ensuring all our products are made in the USA. Pinch me! I think I'm dreaming! Fireclay Tile has partnered with Room & Board!!!!! Last week we officially announced not one but TWO Fireclay shop-in-shops inside Room & Board Edina and DC. From the start of my design journey I have admired Room & Board for its commitment to domestic manufacturing, the kindness and consistency of every customer interaction, and now they are even a Certified #bcorp and 100% Employee Owned! Jamie Chappell, Caitlyn Child, and I first met the team there in February 2020, and ever since then we had a dream of one day doing something together. Huge thank you to Bruce Champeau, Dana Backer, Gene Wilson, Brian Rich and the entire Room & Board team who have all been exceptional! We're still hiring for our DC showroom!
