About us

Food52 is a next-generation cooking and home company that was named one of the world’s most innovative companies by Fast Company in 2022, with a monthly reach of more than 30 million people. From the beginning, the brand challenged the models of traditional media companies and retailers, combining content, commerce, and community around the belief that the kitchen is the heart of the home and food is the center of a well-lived life. Food52 connects a global community of experts and amateurs, supporting them with inspirational, useful content — recipes, videos, podcasts, cookbooks and more — and outfitting them with products that make them happy. In addition to a highly curated Shop representing hundreds of makers, the Food52 community of brands includes its in-house product line Five Two, lighting and lifestyle goods company Schoolhouse, and the heritage home brand DANSK.

Food52 Spotlight! 🔦Meet Lauren Sanderson🔦 Food52 HQ Manager, positive vibe bringer, and all-around problem solver. What do you do here? 🎤 "I am the HQ Manager at Food52 and basically handle anything and everything related to our BNY office! I ensure anyone who enters our space is cared for and feels welcomed, I work closely with the building, assist with our events and continuously problem solve! I love that every day feels different!" How long have you worked here? 🎤 "Just over 3 months, but everyone has been so welcoming to me & there is so much going on that, tbh, it feels longer!" What is your favorite item in your home? 🎤 "I love my East Fork Pottery ceramics.. Every birthday or holiday, my family and friends gift me a new piece of pottery (bowls, plates, mugs) and I always look forward to it. I also really love my kitchen island table. It’s the same island I grew up eating french toast crunch (IYKYK) & eggo waffles at with my siblings and it has traveled with me to every apartment since. Holds some of my favorite core memories." Check out East Fork! https://lnkd.in/eDTdd8QC Tell us about a time when you turned lemons into lemonade. 🎤 "My friends and I missed the last flight out of JFK for vacation a few years ago (we were sitting directly across from the gate chit chatting not listening to them calling our names 10x over the intercom) and was mega bummed for 5 min before I decided to just rent us a room at the TWA hotel with points, drink margaritas and go swimming in the pool overlooking the runway! It ended up being one of our favorite nights of the trip. I definitely consider myself an eternal optimist and try to find the sparkly things in every situation." What is your favorite product? 🎤 "My favorite product is my Shun knife that my bestie, Feebz, gifted me for my 30th. I literally cried when I opened it because it was so thoughtful and generous and she knows I have a silly little weekly ritual of making pickled carrots that I absolutely do not neurotically cut into thin tiny matchsticks…"

Welcome to 'That's Cool. Who Made It?' A series where Paul Hagopian visits makers featured in the Food52 shop and discovers the story behind the supplier, as well as how the product is made. In this episode, we head to Burlington, Vermont to visit AO Glass—a glass blowing company owned and operated by Rich Arentzen and Tove Ohlander. Our team was especially excited to hang with Rich & Tove for two reasons: 1) They’re world-class glass blowers who make beautiful cake stands & vases sold in the Food52 shop. 2) They’re the parents of Food52’s Test Kitchen team member, Nea Arentzen. Visit https://food52.com/shop today for Free Shipping & to check out AO Glass. Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eCS6UXW7

Food52 Spotlight! 🔦Meet César Ramón Pérez Medero🔦 Food52 Recipe Developer and Content Creator, AKA the team member that keeps us flocking to the test kitchen all day. What do you do here? 🎤 "I am a recipe developer and Test Kitchen Content Creator at Food52. Part of my duties include collaborating with the creative team, email, and merchandising as we brainstorm on what’s coming down the line and based on that, I come up with recipes to be featured for themes for the month." How long have you worked here? 🎤 "I began as a freelancer at Food52 in May 2021 and converted to full time in 2023." What is your favorite item in your home? 🎤 "I have favorite items for different things, however if it’s for the kitchen, then I would have to say it’s my Staub 4-piece enamel cast iron stackable cookware set. It’s a workhorse, it’s pretty to look at and most importantly it works great!" What are you currently working on? 🎤 "I have been working on our Recipe Drop series on social which is continuous as well as developing a few recipes for our Brand Partnerships clients. On a personal level, a close friend of mine and myself, have a food pop up called Primos Lejanos in which we reimagine spins on traditional Puerto Rican food. With the colder weather approaching, I have been excited about concocting soups, braises, and roasting whole pigs." What is your favorite product? 🎤 "My favorite product has to be the Dreamfarm Fluicer, which is a citrus juicer. It’s a Test Kitchen favorite!" Check out César's recipes: https://lnkd.in/gbTDNBw8
