About us
GOLDEN CARE has one goal; to provide experienced and trained therapists that parents can turn to every step of the way. Parents try to get the best services for their child. GOLDEN CARE is here to help. With Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and behavior intervention programs, a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder can be helped. We work to put together a solid therapy program, individualized for each client, addressing many areas of need. Our therapists are trained by nationally recognized leaders and institutions. Our goal is to give support to each child in order for them to generalize the skills independently in their environment and help them achieve optimum success throughout life. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a specific form of behavior modification. It is defined as the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement of behavior. By functionally assessing the relationship between a targeted behavior and the environment, the methods of ABA can be used to change that behavior. During the summer, it's important to have a bunch of outdoor summer activities planned. ⠀ Write down a list of possibilities and go through it with your child and let them choose the ones they feel most comfortable with. 📋 ⠀ Give them a diverse range of activities and outings. This can include going to the park, museum, or zoo. 🐅 ⠀ Allowing your child the opportunity to choose their own summer activities can allow them to more effectively make choices going forward. This is an important part of learning choice-making skills and communicating what they want in a calm manner. ⠀ How do you offer your kids choices in what they do, and what do you find has worked well? Share with us below. 👇🏼 ⠀ #Autism #AutismAwareness #AutismFamily #AutismSupport #AutismSpectrumDisorder #ABATherapy

As summer approaches, we're heading into birthday party season! 🎈 ⠀ If your little one has a birthday party coming up, keep these following tips in mind to make sure everything goes smoothly. ⠀ Parties of any kind can be very stressful for kids with autism so here are five tips: ⠀ 1️⃣ Keep it short and sweet - Parties, especially for kids with autism, can quickly become overwhelming. Limit the duration to ensure everyone stays comfortable and engaged. 🎂 ⠀ 2️⃣ Pick a comfortable location - Choose a venue that is familiar and sensory-friendly for the birthday child. Consider factors like noise level, lighting, and space for movement. ⠀ 3️⃣ Carefully plan the activities - structure the party with activities that cater to diverse interests and sensory needs. Provide options for both quiet and active play to accommodate all guests. ⠀ 4️⃣ Decide the best way to give gifts - some children with autism may feel overwhelmed by the tradition of opening gifts in front of others. Respect their preferences by offering alternative options like opening presents privately or after the party. 🧸 ⠀ 5️⃣ Consider treat alternatives - be mindful of dietary restrictions and sensory sensitivities when planning treats. Opt for alternative options like allergen-friendly snacks or non-food items to ensure all guests can indulge safely. ⠀ Discover more ideas here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d8WjBBm5 ⠀ #Autism #AutismAwareness #AutismFamily #AutismSupport #AutismSpectrumDisorder #ABATherapy

Deep breathing can be a great way to manage sensory overload. 🌬️ ⠀ Show your child this relaxation method to help prevent and stop meltdowns. ⠀ Start by having a conversation and showing them how to take deep breaths to calm themselves down. Then let them know that they can use this technique any time there is an unexpected change in routine or a sensory overload. ⠀ Find out more about how ABA therapy can assist 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/emgbhkq ⠀ #Autism #AutismAwareness #AutismFamily #AutismSupport #AutismSpectrumDisorder #ABATherapy
