Creator of Eureka Math, Wit & Wisdom, and PhD Science curricula and Geodes books for emerging readers.
About us
A group of education leaders founded Great Minds in 2007 to define and encourage knowledge-rich, comprehensive education for all American schoolchildren. In pursuit of that mission, Great Minds brings teachers together with scholars to craft exemplary instructional materials and share them with the field. Great Minds’ Eureka Math curriculum has earned top ratings by independent reviewers for teaching math as a body of knowledge, not just a set of skills. Eureka Math also is known as EngageNY Math. Wit & Wisdom is a rich English language arts curriculum that taps the power of literature, history, and science to build knowledge of intriguing topics while teaching reading comprehension and writing. Aligned to the latest science standards, PhD Science inspires students to wonder about the world and empowers them to make sense of it with hands-on investigation and modeling. Geodes books for early readers inject knowledge about fascinating subjects into beautifully illustrated books, cultivating joyful reading and learning from the outset of education.

💭 Imagine art that sparks creativity while connecting with literacy, science, and math. We’re excited to see Doodles Academy’s summer art-literacy camp bring this vision to life with the support of two youth scholarships from Great Minds. Doodles Academy aligns their art content with common classroom themes and subjects, enhancing understanding and engagement. Expanding children’s access to high-quality visual arts education regardless of school budget, zip code, or demographic. At Great Minds, we share this belief in art’s power to enrich learning, integrating it deeply into our literacy, math, and science materials. Swipe through to see some of the creativity we were able to capture during a recent visit to their camp in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

John White, our Chief Success Officer, recently shared a heartfelt message with our sales, marketing, and success teams during our annual retreat. He recalled being a new teacher and having to create all his own curricular materials at the start of the school year. It was a great reminder that as a team, the knowledge-rich, high-quality instructional materials we’re creating for classrooms around the country are supporting teachers as well as students. We’re grateful for all the educators we work with around the country and are so glad they can spend the majority of their professional day where it matters most – instructing and engaging with students.

As the 2024 Paris Olympics captivate audiences worldwide, we are thrilled to share how a few of these Olympic sporting events connect with our instructional materials!🏅🌍 In PhD Science, our Kindergarten scientists explore the science of pushes and pulls through skateboard races, a relatively new Olympic sport. This hands-on lesson helps young learners understand how forces impact motion. With Olympic basketball creating tons of excitement around the world, our free Data Talks resource consists of 10-minute activities that use real basketball data to enhance students' critical thinking and data visualization skills. Data Talks can be seamlessly integrated into math instruction or any subject. In Grade 5 Module 4, "Breaking Barriers," our ELA students study the achievements of Olympic icons like Ibtihaj Muhammad, Wilma Rudolph, and Jesse Owens. By researching these heroes and creating their own Hall of Fame, students learn about resilience and how overcoming challenges can lead to extraordinary success. We’re excited about these connections and how they bring real-world events into the classroom. #ParisOlympics #MathIntegration #ELAcurriculum #ClassroomConnections #Olympics

Turning teamwork into impact! Last week during our annual retreat, members of our sales, success, and marketing teams came together to make a difference in the Ann Arbor community. From running a 5K to raise funds for the Peace Neighborhood Center to filling over 100 backpacks with essential school supplies for local students, we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support our neighbors.
