Great Parks will receive $1.25 million from the state of Ohio biennial capital budget to construct its newest destination in Westwood. Funds will be administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and applied toward the development of the park under the master plan created in collaboration with community residents. The plan includes trails, boardwalks, playscape, a greenhouse, accessible treehouse and other amenities. We want to thank the Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio legislators including the Southwest Ohio delegation, leaders from Hamilton County, Ohio - Government and the City Of Cincinnati Government, the Cincinnati Business Committee/Cincinnati Regional Business Committee Capital Budget Prioritization Task Force and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber for their support of the park. You can discover more about this destination and the master plan here: https://lnkd.in/gi9Jgq5p

We are delighted to share that The Farmer Family Foundation provided a gift of $3 million plus a matching gift of $2 million, which could bring the total value to $7 million, to Great Parks Forever, the philanthropic partner of Great Parks. These funds will be used to build new trails, new park facilities and amenities as well as improved access to conservation areas. This announcement adds to previous major gifts to Great Parks Forever, with recent support coming from the James J. and Joan A. Gardner Family Foundation, Bob and Jeanne Coughlin Foundation, the Harold C. Schott Foundation and United Dairy Farmers. We would like to thank The Farmer Family Foundation for their support as we continue to expand our green spaces for present and future generations.
