Congratulations to Brittany Day and Kristy Ramirez, our May and June winners! 🎉💙💚 Brittany Day "Brittany was with us the whole last week of dad’s life on earth. She was so good to my dad. He liked to visit with her as she displayed a good sense of humor, and he truly loved that. Brittany was skilled at attending to every detail and was good at problem solving when medical issues came up. She was so compassionate and caring, always there for us with empathy and compassion. Brittany truly helped dad and all of us deal with his last days and hours in a positive way. She was there when he took his last breath, so helpful, caring and nice to us. We have the best medical center and Brittany is a big reason why Greene County Medical Center is a top notch hospital." Kristy Ramirez "Kristy came in voluntarily on her weekend off to sit with a hospice patient while waiting for her family to arrive. Kristy didn’t want the patient to be alone. We appreciate the care she gives to our patients who we treat like family."

Yesterday, Greene County Medical Center celebrated fifteen nurses and seven support staff members at the annual Partner of Nursing and DAISY Award ceremonies. These individuals were celebrated for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care. Congratulations to all and Happy Nurses Week! 💙💚🌼 Please help us congratulate our award winners! 🌟 Lauren Goeser, 2024 Partner of Nursing Award recipient “Lauren is always willing to provide education to nursing and patients on medications. She assists providers, reviews lab results, provides recommendations and gives detailed instructions to nursing about patients coming after hours for medications. I would not be able to do my job without Lauren.” 🌟 Sydney Schiltz, 2024 DAISY Award recipient “I came to the hospital seeking help for my mental health and alcohol abuse issues. Sydney treated me in a caring and kind manner, without judgement.” Another nominator shared how Sydney helped during their father’s last days. “She was not only skilled, but professional, caring and compassionate. Sydney has a heart filled with empathy.
