About us
The Iowa Primary Care Association (Iowa PCA) has provided technical assistance and training to Iowa’s community health centers to support their ongoing commitment to provide quality, affordable primary and preventive health care to meet community needs since 1988. The Iowa PCA is a non-profit membership association comprised of 13 community health centers and one migrant health program and is recognized as the trusted voice on healthcare, particularly concerning vulnerable populations. These organizations collectively serve nearly 200,000 Iowans each year through nearly 700,000 patient visits. Learn more about Iowa’s community health centers at www.iowapca.org. Through our sister company, INConcertCare, health centers receive assistance around health information technology. By using data analytics and population health management, health centers are coordinating resources and analyzing data to build stronger partnerships payors and other organizations to help eliminate fragmented care. IowaHealth+ Our second sister company, IowaHealth+, is an integrated primary care network of 11 member health centers and the Iowa PCA. This statewide network of health centers is demonstrating how primary care clinics can improve patient outcomes while reducing costs. The incredible value Iowa's community health centers bring to their patients and communities is rooted in the diligent work of over 2,200 team members. These individuals are deeply committed to the CHC mission to provide high-quality health care services to all people, regardless of income or insurance status. We are grateful for community health center teams today and everyday! #valuechcs #nhcw24

Thanks to a continuous emphasis on delivering patient-centered care that results in positive outcomes, stronger local economies, and lower costs to the healthcare system, community health centers have received bipartisan political support at the state and federal level for more than 50 years. We are appreciative of our elected officials, including Iowa's Congressional Delegation, for their ongoing support and investments in our primary care model!

Over 240,000 Iowans receive their healthcare from community health centers in Iowa annually. Through a care model that focuses on a person's whole health - behavioral health, dental, medical, and pharmacy - CHCs ensure that under-resourced populations have access to high quality, affordable care. #valuechcs #nhcw24

People who experience homelessness endure higher rates of chronic and acute disease, behavioral health conditions, and other disparities that make them vulnerable to poor health, disability, and early death. In 2023, Iowa's community health centers supported over 10,000 individuals experiencing homelessness, providing high-quality, comprehensive primary and behavioral health care, case management, and other supportive services to meet the needs of people who lack stable housing. #valuechcs #nhcw24
