Another successful year for the Hewett Leadership Program at JAX! A cohort of 11 individuals across JAX departments and campuses leaned into learning, growth, and understanding and out of their comfort zones, with help from Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. Established in 2018, the program is supported by endowment funds established by and in honor of JAX’s Emeritus Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Chuck Hewett, Ph.D. and his wife Jackie. 🎓 more about the program: https://lnkd.in/eXj_Cm4y

Congratulations, Kassidy! Thank you for your work with The Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative (MCGI) 🎉
🌟 Meet Kassidy Plummer from University of New England, the MCGI Summer Intern at The The Jackson Laboratory-Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative! After much training, Kassidy has been optimizing documentation for the tumor boards, ensuring comprehensive records for planning, execution, and reporting results from discussions. We are proud to have Kassidy in our internship program this year! . . These internships are an invaluable component of leadership development for Maine's undergraduates, and are crucial in showing students the immense opportunities for career and personal fulfilment in Maine.
