KIND is more than just a brand of whole nut and fruit bars made from ingredients you can see and pronounce®—it is also a movement and way of being. At KIND, we aim to make the world a bit kinder through all that we do and how we do it—from the products we create to the way we work, live and give back. And that may be why nutritionists, foodies and social leaders alike all agree that KIND is the best snack around! We're looking for passionate, conscious collaborators to help us meet our goals: to inspire kindness, with one tasty snack (and good act) at a time. This #PrideMonth🌈, we're proud to share the stories of our KIND LGBTQIA+ community. We asked leaders of our KIND&Proud resource group to share what community means to them. Today, we're introducing Ethan Parisen. Ethan is a Sr Director, Digital Commerce and has been with KIND for over two years. 📢"Co-leading KIND&Proud has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my time at KIND. Our mission is anchored in fostering an 'intentionally inclusive' culture and driving change through volunteerism, fundraising, and education. There’s always more to do, but I am thrilled to reflect on the progress we’ve made since launching in 2022. Together, we've hosted several fundraisers for our long-standing partner The Ali Forney Center sponsored training sessions to educate our team members on the power of inclusive language, and are looking forward to our second annual Drag Bingo pride celebration later this month 🌈. Even today, 'Coming out' at work can be scary. If we can make that experience better for others AND raise money for incredible organizations that lift our community along the way, I'd say we're on the right track 🧡 ❤️ 💚 💙" At KIND, cultivating an #inclusive workplace is an ongoing effort and we're grateful to our KIND&Proud KRG for reinforcing our #diversityandinclusion goals.

Last month, our HQ based KIND Team Members got their hands dirty with City Parks Foundation and NYC Department of Parks & Recreation at Betsy Head Park in Brooklyn for a #sustainability volunteer event 🌱 Removed 27 bags of weed & natural debris and 5 bags of litter 🐝 Planted a total of 37 native, pollinator-friendly plants ⚒ Donated tools to the park staff for continued horticultural work We’re buzzing about this event, not only because it’s wonderful to work with our local partners on the ground, but because it gave our team members a hands-on way to experience the importance of our pollinator commitment firsthand. In 2020, KIND became the first snack company to commit to exclusively sourcing our almonds from bee-friendly farmland on a mass-balance basis by 2025 – because without bees, we wouldn’t have almonds! We’re excited by our progress and all the work towards this goal. 🌸Many thanks to our KIND sustainability #volunteers and our partners at City Parks Foundation and NYC Parks!
