Last Friday, our Business Development team, Tina; Tad; and Key, had the pleasure of attending Aviation Night with the Augusta GreenJackets Professional Baseball. It was a great opportunity for Lighthouse to join the community and provide education on mental health and how we are here when help is needed.

June is National Men's Health Month. This month-long campaign raises awareness of health issues that men face and encourages them to take charge of their health. We encourage men to seek help for their mental health. We offer no-cost assessments 24/7. Please call us at 706-651-0005.

We tried something new this year and had a wonderful time making a positive and encouraging team piece puzzle. Employees stopped by the conference room and wrote positive messages about other departments with words of encouragement and uplifting passages. #HospitalWeek continues! Our employees had a fun-filled week this week! On Tuesday, each employee was given a white t-shirt and created fun tie-dye shirts. We have some very skilled tie-dye makers here at Lighthouse Care Center. Today, we wore them while we celebrated “Fellowship Friday” with a very tasty food truck that served steak, chicken, mahi bowls, street corn popper appetizers, and spring rolls. Last week, we celebrated #TeacherAppreciationWeek! We have wonderful Teachers who oversee our residents, ages 8-17 in our Residential Program. They love what they do and work hard making sure that our kids do not fall behind in their schoolwork and that they get credit for their stay. Our Residential Program is a 30, 60, and 90-day stay depending on what the child or adolescent needs. We love our Teachers and are so grateful to have them!! We want to give a shout-out to Popeyes on Tobacco Road and their Manager, Olivia, for recognizing our Teachers and bringing them lunch. Thank you!!!
