Exercise has widespread health benefits including promoting deeper, restorative sleep. It’s ok to start small. Try taking a brisk walk or do a quick 10-minute mini workout between work meetings. Even 10 to 20 minutes here and there during the day gets your blood pumping, which can lead to a deeper, more satisfying night of sleep. 🛏️ Learn more: https://bit.ly/4cokACm #BestSleptSelf

Yep, it is almost back to school time! Don’t panic! Most folks still have a few weeks of summer left, but now is the time to prepare. (And, we aren’t talking about shopping for colorful school supplies.) Moving back to a regular sleep routine before school begins can help children and teens begin the school year well-rested. Shift bed and wake times by 10-15 minutes a day until you’re back on the schedule you want. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3YAjnof #BackToSchool #Sleep

Let’s talk about tech. Technology keeps us informed, connected and entertained. It is a major part of our lives — it sometimes feels like we have an electronic device permanently attached to our hand given how often we are online (yes, even in the summertime). 📱 Unfortunately, electronic use can disrupt sleep in kids and teens. NSF recently convened an expert group of researchers to develop a consensus guideline for screen use and sleep.
