We're thrilled to welcome Carrie Martin to our team, who will serve as the new Senior Director, Corporate Communications! Carrie brings extensive experience in marketing and communications, most recently serving as Director of Corporate & Content Marketing at Hines where she worked for 13 years. Last week, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers Wohlers and Robertson were awarded a “good ticket”, a commendation for their heroic efforts in rescuing an elderly woman lost in the desert. The officers were able to find and rescue the woman using the ATV donated by Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. to LVMPD Summerlin Area Command. Last week, the Mayor's Fund For Las Vegas LIFE and Summerlin® teamed up to bring 60 local kids and 30 National Hockey League (NHL) rookies together for an epic Street Hockey Camp. Joseph LePore recently joined Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. as our new Vice President of Public Safety for the Summerlin® region. Born and raised in Chicago, Joe moved to Las Vegas in 1998 and joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in January 1999. With over 25 years of dedicated service, he held various leadership roles, including Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. Joe’s most recent assignment was as Captain of Summerlin Area Command, where he led over 200 employees and developed positive relationships with the Summerlin community, partnering closely with Howard Hughes.   At Howard Hughes, Joe will play a crucial role in supporting our community by nurturing the positive relationships that make Summerlin a safe, enjoyable, and beautiful place to live and work. He will support the alignment of our community initiatives with our business goals and objectives. Additionally, Joe will serve as a strategic partner, working closely with regional and corporate leadership along with key stakeholders to drive key components of our company’s vision to enhance community engagement and safety.   “I am thrilled to join Howard Hughes, a company that has significantly contributed to the development of Las Vegas. Brook Schafte recently joined Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. as our new Culture + People leader for the Summerlin®, Phoenix & Hawaii regions. She brings a wealth of experience in business operations and the Human Resources field. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for Hilton Grand Vacations & Diamond Resorts where she oversaw the company’s HR operations for their North America and international locations. She has also held various leadership roles in Operations as well as Human Resources in the hospitality industry.   At Howard Hughes, Brook will play a pivotal role in supporting our employees by nurturing our collaborative, team-oriented culture that drives our success as an organization.
