Today I had the chance to observe first hand the enormous burden that our law enforcement officers carry in serving Oklahomans suffering from behavioral health crises. These men and women go into some of the most unpredictable situations with zero hesitation and saving lives is simply part of the job. I got to see with my own eyes what pieces of our crisis system are working well and where we can improve. I’m grateful for those who shared their experiences with me and will use them to fuel the wonderful work we do 24/7. I’m overheated and slightly dehydrated…but I’m committed to consistently reconnecting to the front of the work. My heart is full and the mission is clear. #communityofchange #transformationalleadership #okcpd
