Saturday, August 3, and Saturday, August 10, OU Health will join the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation in welcoming students back into their halls at the Oklahoma City Public Schools Back to School Bash. As a presenting sponsor, and the only healthcare sponsor of the event and the ReadOKC On The Go Book Bus, we are excited to usher in the new school year with OKCPS. We will offer health services and assist families in signing up for the Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health telehealth platform so kids have virtual access to our experts. We’ll also have team members onsite providing information about our Healthcare Careers Explorers program that introduces the next generation of healthcare workers to potential careers in the field. We're proud to announce that OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center been named the best cancer facility in Oklahoma, according to U.S. News & World Report. This latest ranking assesses facilities using a data-driven analysis that combines performance measures across three dimensions: structure, process and outcomes. As our state's only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, it's our ongoing mission to provide patient-centered, research-driven cancer care for all Oklahomans.

Three recent University of Oklahoma master’s degree graduates have been awarded OU Health Administrative Fellowships. This newly created program serves as a bridge from academic life to professional health care administration. The fellowship is designed to build the next generation of health care leaders through practical and experiential learning opportunities at OU Health, the state’s flagship academic health system. The inaugural fellows, Bethanie Lor, Shawn Long and Safra Shakir, earned master’s of health administration degrees from the Hudson College of Public Health on the OU Health Sciences campus this May.
