How is the Peace Corps empowering the next generation of female leaders? For over a decade, Camp GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) in Grenada has been answering that call. Three seasoned Grenadians, with the support of two Peace Corps Volunteers, led this transformative camp, continuing its legacy of fostering leadership and confidence among young girls. 40 secondary school girls embraced the opportunity to learn about diverse cultures, explore career paths, and develop essential life skills. What do #PeaceCorps Volunteers want Americans to know about Moldova? Volunteer Ashli shares her experience: 💬 "My favorite thing about service so far has been the welcoming atmosphere of my community. One part of that was being invited to sing with my village's folkloric ensemble. I get to learn about the traditions associated with the music and work on my language skills at the same time. An extra benefit of my first performance was having the pleasure of performing in front of President Maia Sandu at the “Hora Sânzienelor” festival! Thanks to my community for letting me participate in a wonderful festival!” Explore more stories like Ashli's by visiting the new Volunteer Profiles section of our website. https://bit.ly/4cpcgDm
