"We have entered a new decade with projected outsized growth in demand for travel while hotel supply remains muted. The fundamentals are strong, positioning hotels not only to survive through a sluggish market, which I expect over the next 12 to 18 months, but to thrive beyond it, driven by a significant supply-demand imbalance. Given these trends, I couldn’t be more excited about the outlook for our hospitality investments." -- Peachtree CEO Greg Friedman If you aren't already, follow Greg on LinkedIn. #hospitalityindustry #hotelindustry #hotelinvestments #
Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties and adapt in the face of adversity, enabling growth and progress in the long run. I can tell you firsthand, the hospitality industry is resilient. Persevering through one of the most challenging periods for travel and lodging anyone has experienced due to the pandemic, we are now entering a remarkably strong phase expected for the hospitality sector over the next decade, despite occasional periods of softness. From a macro perspective, the appetite for travel will only grow over time. People have an inherent love for travel, businesses need to travel to remain competitive, and no AI tool, computer, or Zoom call can replace the irreplaceable value of face-to-face meetings where ideas are shared, innovation thrives and creativity flourishes. This is why we are extremely bullish on the long-term outlook for the hospitality sector, particularly hotels. We have entered a new decade with projected outsized growth in demand for travel while hotel supply remains muted. With resilience and perseverance, we can turn every setback into a comeback and every challenge into a triumph.
