About us

For over 50 years our goal has been to offer the best coffees & teas in the world, without compromise. We've learned that the secret to great coffee is the people who make it, and we apply the same care in selecting and preparing our teams as we do when crafting the perfect cup. Collectively, we foster a culture based on authenticity that inspires people to unleash their unique, personal passions and expertise toward achieving our vision and mission. It takes talent and dedication from hundreds of Peetniks to make a single cup of Peet's coffee. Our values guide us on this journey. Join us!

Here's to many happy returns. It's the first official day of the groundbreaking Petaluma Reuseable Cup Project---and we can't say enough about all of the purple cups we are seeing everywhere.  So many thanks to our customers who are saying they'll "Sip, Return, Repeat." Peet's is proud to be a part of the more than 30 restaurants and cafes participating in this first of its kind reusable citywide cup program. The three month pilot runs through November.

Peet’s commitment to sustainability takes us from the Global South where we are joining forces to save coffee from the devastation of climate change to mornings like this one, closer to home. In July, a group from Peet’s grabbed their boots, gloves, and camping gear for a weekend at Yosemite National Park. But it wasn’t just a camping weekend. This group was volunteering to help clear non-native invasive plants from the beloved national treasure. Don’t worry. They had plenty of coffee. Peet’s is proud to support the Yosemite Conservancy as it works to ensure the lasting grandeur of Yosemite forever.

Earlier this year, we raised the discount for customers who bring their own cup and we almost immediately saw the number of BYOC (bring their own cup) customers double. In another step to reduce single-use, disposable packaging, we started bringing back porcelain cups—restoring the “ dine in” serviceware that went away during the pandemic. Now we have signed up both of our locations in Petaluma-- Washington Square and downtown—to participate in the groundbreaking Petaluma Reuseable Cup program. With 30 restaurants and cafes joining in, the project – the largest of its kind ever undertaken-- will study “what it would take” to make reuseable cups the default option for everyone in a city. We can’t say enough about our partner brands in the Next Gen Consortium and the leadership of the Center for the Circular Economy at Closed Loop Partners. Their dedication and commitment are helping us imagine a future where every Peet’s coffee is served in a reusable cup. https://lnkd.in/gNSZgtUt

Great coffee isn’t the only thing we are proud of at Peet’s. We may be even prouder of our commitment to our values. Thank you to KP Peck Kacey Carmassi and all of the members of the Peet’s Pride Alliance for living those values every day.

Earlier this month, my colleague Kacey Carmassi and I co-facilitated a lunch & learn session about gender identity and pronouns usage at Peet's Coffee. We covered gender identity, gender expression, the range of pronouns, misgendering, and allyship. We were thrilled by the attendance (~200 people) and the level of engagement throughout the discussion. Grateful to work at a company that creates space for this not only during Pride month, but throughout the entire year.

We weren’t going to just drop this new collection on stores shelves and not tell the world about it. Not for something this breakthrough. We couldn’t be prouder to announce the launch of our all-new Bright Collection, two new blends that include our lightest light roast and brightest medium. They will have you thinking a whole new way about coffee. To celebrate, we’re even giving away a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the —of course—brightest place on earth—the land of the Midnight Sun. What could be Brighter?

When you have an incredible cup of coffee in the morning, you can be sure of one thing: a lot of science went into each and every drop. So proud to have been there from the beginning as the vision for a Coffee Center at UC Davis came to life. The new center opened earlier this month and is the first academic research and teaching facility in the US entirely dedicated to the study of coffee.  Congratulations to Professors Bill Ristenpart and Tonya Kuhl and the entire UC Davis team.

At Peet’s this holiday season, we are proud to support No Kid Hungry and its work to end childhood hunger. During the 12 Days of Peet’s (December 13-24), we will be donating $1 for every purchase of our Holiday Blend made on peets.com or from a Peet’s Café.* One in five kids in America live with hunger. With numbers like that, we sometimes wonder whether $1 can make a difference. With No Kid Hungry, it can. Every $1 donated to No Kid Hungry provides 10 healthy meals. We are grateful to No Kid Hungry for their work, not just during the holidays but all year long.
