Dear Friends, Family, and fellow Industry Members, We come to you with heavy hearts and high hopes. One of our own, Steve, an integral member of our Perilla Fare team, has been diagnosed with cancer. Since the beginning of Perilla Fare in 2019, Steve has been a core member, bringing dedication, passion, and kindness to all that he does and to those around him. With this battle, he has had to take time off away from work in order to take care of himself and get the treatment he needs. Steve has always been there for us; not only does he crush it and is a superstar at work, but he is a genuine loving human who needs our support. Now, it’s our turn to rally around him and show him the love and support he deserves. Steve was born in Guatemala, has been enjoying coffee since he was 6 years old, always has the most amazing hair, and his shoe game goes unmatched. He is family oriented and comes with an open and loving heart to everyone. At Perilla no one does the job like Steve does (and it shows). Now, Steve faces one of the toughest battles of his life and we are determined to stand by him every step of the way. Cancer not only takes a toll emotionally and physically but also financially. Medical bills, treatments, and other expenses add up quickly, and we are adamant on helping and finding ways to support him and his loved ones during this difficult time. His parents still live in Guatemala and his sister, her husband and children reside in Chicago. They have been a large part in helping him navigate through this time. He loves to spend time with his nieces and barbecue with his family. This GoFundMe aims to provide financial support to Steve during this challenging time.
