Pinterest Impact Lab is a social impact program that supports emerging leaders of our Impact Partners in creating deeper long-term impact within their communities, advancing emotional wellbeing for all. Over the past few months, Pinterest Impact Lab co-designed a unique cohort-based learning experience with 17 inspiring leaders from 10 emerging community- and BIPOC-led Impact Partners. These sessions focused on strengthening capacity for our Partners’ organizational and leadership success in service of deepening and sustaining impact for emotional wellbeing. This year’s program hosted our second in-person Community Coaching Day, bringing together our 2024 cohort as well as program alumni, Pinterest employees and external experts to serve as feedback coaches. As this is my first time working on a platform that’s widely consumer facing, learning about the entire development process has been fascinating. In terms of professional growth, I feel a lot more comfortable in my workspace than I’ve ever felt working as an intern. All the engineers I work with are very willing to help me out and answer any questions I have. Pinterest reported Q2 2024 Earnings today. Here are some highlights: 📍Robust Revenue Growth: $854 million – an increase of 21% revenue growth as Pinterest gained share of advertising budgets with some of the world’s largest brands. 👯 User Growth: Another all-time high of 522 million Monthly Active Users, a 12% increase year-over-year, with growth in all regions and user cohorts. 🛍 People are shopping on Pinterest: It’s easier than ever to shop on the platform. From new experiences, like Shop the Look Video and filters that help users find items on sale, Pinterest is more fun and personalized than ever. 🤖 The power of AI: Pinterest’s AI-powered ad stack is driving performance for advertisers. New AI-enabled and automation tools, like Performance+, simplify campaign setup and drive results.

I am thrilled to welcome Matt Madrigal to the Executive Team at Pinterest as our new Chief Technology Officer. Matt joins us from Google, where he led the global engineering and product teams responsible for building Google Shopping experiences and infrastructure. I had the great privilege of working with him during my tenure there and am excited to once again collaborate. Matt comes on board as Pinterest has become a destination for shopping and our business continues to grow in size, complexity, and influence. His deep technical expertise and experience building for global markets at massive scale and in e-commerce will be crucial to shaping Pinterest’s future. Matt will work closely with me and our entire executive team to advance our strategy and mission with world class technology. I want to thank Jeremy King for his leadership and commitment to Pinterest over the past five years. Under his direction, our engineering team has evolved significantly and made substantial progress toward achieving major milestones, including reaching half a billion MAU.
