We are assisting our client in adding an experienced real estate attorney to their In-House Legal Team. The client is a publicly held and well performing REIT. The person in this role will assist the General Counsel with strategy, direction, and oversight of legal affairs of the Company, including leasing, development, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and operations of the commercial real estate portfolio. This person will also advise internal and external parties on legal issues related to the Company's activities. The ideal candidate will have strong real estate experience as well as overseeing the drafting and negotiating of leases and related letters of intent and purchase & sale agreements; negotiating, and revising land leases, development agreements and preparing and drafting construction contracts, architect agreements, and other documents. Work closely with Controller ad Assistant Controller on researching and documenting accounting pronouncements. Work closely with FP&A providing variance reporting. Conducting a search for an Accounting Manager, DC Based, but 100% Remote). $130K+ Bonus. Spanish Speakers preferred. Responsibilities: · Assisting with the preparation of the year-end Financials and Audit in accordance with local and US GAAP. · Coordinate and supervise month end accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, travel & expense reimbursement, intercompany, fixed assets, cash management, account reconciliations, etc.) ensuring finance processes and finance policies are adhered to. · Assist on monthly P&L review to identify and understand variances to budget and prior month. Prepare business commentaries for submission to Executive Team.
