It's Flash Back Friday! By the mid-1950s, Toledo Hospital embarked on a series of improvements that would continue to meet the needs of the community, starting with construction of a new wing, major remodeling, and a five-story addition built on to the north side of the hospital. New features include piped-in oxygen, audible nurse-call system, under-pillow radios. New service areas include cardiac care/postoperative facilities. Improvements brought hospital capacity to 447 beds and 71 bassinets.
