Jigsaw and Prosocial Design Network convened 25 researchers to address the challenge of accelerating independent, ecologically valid research in prosocial. The majority of studies we see use survey- and other lab-based experiments, are low on "ecological validity" – meaning that they can show a design intervention works in a lab but not necessarily in real life. The event featured talks from experts presenting innovative approaches aimed to provide attendees with the resources to build infrastructure that supports and facilitates collaborative research with platforms that maintains research integrity. Researchers are excited to learn about the potential of both new and current methods to study prosocial design, and there is potential to pool resources to accelerate the use of ecologically valid research approaches in testing prosocial design. https://lnkd.in/ener6z6T
