At PSP Partners we are guided by the values inherent in our IDEALS. Last week we focused on the most important of those values - service. For our annual #PSPServiceDay we were honored to partner with Fishes & Loaves at the The Maafa Redemption Project, The Hatchery Chicago, Allies for Community Business and Greater Chicago Food Depository to address food insecurity. In the Chicago metro area, 20% of households overall and 26% of households with children are experiencing food insecurity. The Greater Chicago Food Depository sees nearly 200 thousand household visits per month and works to connect our neighbors with healthy food, amplify their voices and advance solutions that address the root causes of hunger. Visit Greater Chicago Food Depository to learn how you can address food insecurity in your community. #Service #IDEALS

At PSP Partners, a diversified private investment firm founded by Penny Pritzker, we work together to create a values-based culture rooted in the power of our IDEALS - Integrity, Diversity, Excellence, Alignment and Service. Recently, our CEO Jon Skinner was pleased to join the Middle Market Musings podcast, hosted by Charles K Gifford, Jr. and Andy Greenberg, to discuss his career and perspectives on team building and values-based leadership. Click the link below to tune in and learn more about Jon's journey to PSP and the important role culture plays in building businesses.
Jon Skinner is CEO of PSP Partners, a diversified private investment firm founded by former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker. Jon is the latest financial honcho to miss his exit and end up in the Middle Market Musings recording complex with Andy and Charlie. Jon reviews his path to his current role—childhood in suburban Boston, football and undergrad at Brown, law school at Boston College, then a storied investment banking career culminating in his tenure as a vice chairman at William Blair. Jon then reviews the investment practices and culture of PSP and concludes by sharing his interests outside of work, including serving as board chair of the Honor Foundation, which is devoted to job placement for U.S. Special Ops veterans.
