We reached a significant milestone for the team at Red Roof – transitioning all properties in the Red Roof system to the HotelKey property-management system. Our President, Zack Gharib, led a celebration at company headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, this week, recognizing team members’ hard work and dedication to accomplishing the first phase of this project and building anticipation for future phases of the technology. Congratulations to all involved and notably, Sharee Brell, Senior Vice President of Technology and Facilities, who led the transition. And congratulations to our franchisees, property team members and guests who will benefit from the increased efficiencies this technology affords.

I had just completed an incredible marketing internship at Red Roof Inn, and I am so grateful that I was able to have this experience. My time here this summer at Red Roof Inn has been a journey filled with personal growth and new skills that I will continue with me in my marketing career. Reflecting on my time as a marketing intern, it has been a phenomenal experience for me. I have been able to gain strengths in different aspects of marketing, such as SEO, social media, franchise marketing, creative design, sales, distribution analysis, email and promotion campaigns, and competitor analysis. I was also given the opportunity to develop and create marketing specific projects. This internship has not only given me impactful skills but also allowed me to gain more of a passion for marketing. I want to give a huge thank you to the marketing team and specifically Lisa Jordan, MTA, CHDM Jonathan Mayes Courtney Wellman Staci Olney Daniel Perorazio Cassidy Rea, CHDM Emily Downing Ken Haynie, CHIA for making my marketing internship and time here at Red Roof such a memorable and valuable time. Thank you for your guidance, support, and overall being a mentor to me over the past few months. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to work with and collaborate with such talented people. We had an incredible time attending the AAHOA Townhall in San Bernardino, CA! The event brought together several hoteliers from San Bernardino County, one of the largest counties in the United States, and the Southwest Pacific region. It was an extremely productive gathering for us, and we were thrilled to see the appreciation for Red Roof's support and my local presence in Southern California. A special highlight was welcoming our new Red Roof San Bernardino, CA franchisee, Mr. Champ Ahir, into the Red Roof family. The presence of the local mayor also graced the event, along with several county officials, and attorneys. Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration and community support in driving our industry forward. We are looking forward to many more such engaging and impactful events!
