Each year Riot's US summer interns are brought out for a week of in-person activities at our headquarters in Los Angeles. We celebrate and appreciate not only interns' work, but also their managers, mentors, and the teams who have helped guide them throughout their experience. These in-person opportunities help deepen their professional relationships and prepare them for the journey ahead. This year's class got to know Riot's campus and culture, attended team socials, participated in learning and development activities, attended talks with Riot senior leaders, made plenty of time for games, and capped it off with a commencement dinner. #riotintern2024

We brought some League devs together to answer burning questions about Swarm to raise awareness around their own swarm of adorable kittens from the Stray Cat Alliance The Stray Cat Alliance works to ensure that all cats in their care are healthy and happy in foster homes, getting them prepared for adoption. These furballs are looking for their forever homes, so the Riot Games Social Impact Fund has made a donation to support their Be a Hero for Cats campaign. Learn more and consider fostering or adopting your very own Battle Cat: https://lnkd.in/gVnrQ-ge

This summer, players across the globe have been able to celebrate their love for League of Legends at in-person events. North America hosted two of these events, including a pop-up in Toronto! Our Anima Squad Toronto Pop-Up ran from July 12th to 14th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There, players could go hands-on with the new League of Legends game mode, Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad. After playing the new bullet-heaven-inspired PvE mode, players were able to create custom t-shirts featuring their favorite Anima Squad characters, try three different types of Anima Squad-themed Boba (Seraphine’s Strawberry Encore, Primordian Power, and Yuumi’s Zoomies), break open a pack of Anima Squad trading cards, and take photos with their own Anima Squad. Reservations for this event went quickly, but some lucky players were able to get in via a standby line. We appreciate the passion of the players who waited it out in the line (some for nearly four hours), and were glad to get to share the experience with y’all! Thank you from all of us over here at Riot and hope you enjoy Anima Squad and Swarm!
