It is inspiring to see one of Southern Land Company's industry experts sharing her insight with others. In July, Karla Cavazos, AIA, our Executive Vice President, Development, lent her expertise as part of a panel at Bisnow's Tarrant County State of the Market. In addition to providing an in-depth look at Deco, our residential high-rise in Downtown Fort Worth, and the SLC approach, Karla (seated on the far right) offered valuable perspective on the city's broader development landscape. We take immense pride in the caliber of talent, like Karla, that makes up SLC.

We are proud of our teams across the country for donating their time to their greater communities. In July, the SLC team in our Plano, Texas office spent a day volunteering at North Texas Food Bank. It was an enriching day spent packing goods that would be transported to people in need as part of North Texas Food Bank's mission to minimize the area's hunger gap. While the grand opening of Deco, our new luxury mixed-use community in Fort Worth, was a milestone for us, it was also a grand moment to commemorate the newest living options to grace Panther City's downtown in more than 30 years. As part of the celebratory events, we were honored to host a great group of local and industry media for exclusive tours of the building and the opportunity to speak with our Founder and CEO, Tim Downey. We are grateful to each reporter, influencer, and outlet who shared the news that Deco is open and ready to welcome you home to the newest rental residences in downtown Fort Worth. We can't stop thinking about last week's Deco grand opening celebration. This was a wonderful event that commemorated a much-anticipated milestone. We are grateful to have shared this occasion with SLC team members, project partners, City of Fort Worth officials, a great collection of special guests, media, and our first residents. Thank you to everyone who has put their time and effort into the fruition of this project, and to all those who made the grand opening a successful celebration of SLC Founder & CEO Tim Downey's long-awaited dream. After nearly 20 years, Deco is the realization of Downey's vision to bring an SLC Community to Downtown Fort Worth. Watch this video, put together by Last Name Roth Media, LLC, to see more of Deco and to hear from some of our guest speakers, including City of Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, City of Fort Worth District 9 Councilwoman Elizabeth Beck, and Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. President Andrew Taft, among many other distinguished guests. Then, learn more about this incredible addition to Fort Worth's evolving urban core by visiting https://lnkd.in/ejNxaH2k

My first event with Southern Land Company was a great success! The grand opening of our beautiful project Deco in Fort Worth featured beautiful signature cocktails and bites by The Petroleum Club, a custom cowboy hat station where each guest was able to take home a beautiful custom hat with a Deco logo, and incredible remarks from our founder Tim Downey , Mayor Mattie Parker and many others who have touched the project. Special thanks to our amazing local and corporate team who made this event happen! We are lucky to work for a company that allows us to create outside the box. Can’t wait for you all to see what we have planned next! Ronan Kearney , MBA Kevin Wilson Eliana Hall Britt Stafford :)

So incredibly proud to be part of the team that collaborated to make this project possible.
Welcome to Deco! On Wednesday, we gathered with Fort Worth city officials, special guests, project partners, media, and residents to celebrate the official grand opening for Deco, our new residential high-rise in Downtown Fort Worth—the first to grace the Panther City skyline in more than 30 years. We are grateful to everyone who has worked diligently to bring this community to life, and look forward to seeing it become a hub of activity that will inspire a revival in urban living in one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Last week I had the great opportunity to attend and work at the grand opening celebration for Deco, Southern Land Company's new luxury mixed-use community in Fort Worth. This tower marks the first residential high-rise to add to the downtown skyline in more than 30 years. It has been exciting to see the considerable media coverage we have secured across the past week. Thanks to our partnership with Cooksey Communications, we were able to host a great group of reporters and influencers for exclusive media tours and at the Deco grand opening event, giving them a firsthand look at an SLC Community's splendor. As I like to look for hands-on opportunities to learn and grow in my career, this event provided ample chances for me to hone my public relations and media relations skills. I am grateful to my manager Jenna L. and the leadership at Southern Land Company for allowing me to consistently take on new challenges in my role. I look forward to further developing my skills while promoting a brand that does incredible work. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the creation of this beautiful community!

If you have not had the opportunity to step into Deco, our new luxury mixed-use residential tower in Downtown Fort Worth, scroll through these photos for a glimpse at the lifestyle that awaits our residents. With a collection of 302 rental residences--all outfitted with balconies-- including penthouses in the building's uppermost floors, Deco marries style and comfort for those looking for an elevated living experience near the heart of Cowtown. The historical Art Deco influence is apparent in every detail of this community, from the steel art installation above the entrance to the various residents' lounges and amenity spaces. As we seek to anticipate our residents' needs, Deco was designed to incorporate a well-rounded collection of amenities, including a 24th floor rooftop pool deck with a bar, grills, heated spa, and 180-inch jumbotron; an adjacent residents' lounge with billiards and demonstration kitchen; a dog grooming spa; a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes and Echelon mirror; and so much more. We are grateful to have partnered with the incredibly talented teams at GDA Architects and Faulkner Design Group, who helped us design this stunning high-rise. Once you have looked through these images, learn more about Deco and the many wonderful features that will enhance our residents' lifestyles by visiting https://lnkd.in/ejNxaH2k

The CEO Southern Land Company, Tim Downey, told me everyone is watching his latest development in #FortWorth -- Deco 969. That's because the Fort Worth's downtown hasn't seen a new residential high rise in nearly 30 years. Here's how the building's doing so far: https://lnkd.in/dRKBxmtt
