"This work is so liberating: to be employed in an organization wherein we have the ultimate freedom to use true principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in our work each day. Having access to all truth and applying it in our daily performance is the most liberating thing I know. This truly is the work of the kingdom of God." —Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work. • “I came to work for the Church from a job with a national financial institution. “It has been one of the best moves of my life. Working for the Church has enabled me to grow as a leader and learn to lead like the Savior. “I have always felt the people on my team are the most important part of my job. It’s been a wonderful experience to come and work for the Church, where those values are highlighted and appreciated. “I had the opportunity to help create and develop a course called Serving Fundamentals. It grew to become something that has been shared throughout Church employment. “Working for the Church continues to provide ample opportunity to grow my talents and abilities and discover and develop new ones. “I appreciate the focus on the work of the Lord. Every day, my team and I get to work on things that make it easier for local priesthood leaders throughout the world to magnify their callings. “I love that each day, I know I have made a positive difference for an organization I love and believe in.” —Jake Dietz, MBA Senior Manager, Leader and Member Support Collaboration Team, Global Services Department Click here to browse hundreds of our open job listings: https://lnkd.in/g4yZeP8M #NowHiring #Hiring #CareerSearch

  • Stress is your brain and body’s normal, helpful response to demands. It motivates you to work hard to reach goals and can protect you from danger. Too much stress, on the other hand, makes you feel excessively worried or nervous, and it continues to affect you even after a stressful situation has ended. You can gauge your stress level with the graphics below. 👇 If you feel like you’re in the red, consider asking for help from a healthcare professional and seeking the Lord’s help through prayer and personal revelation. • “Brigham Young University is committed to academic excellence in targeted graduate disciplines, traditionally focused on business and law. The First Presidency is pleased to announce the decision now to create a medical school at BYU. A major focus will be on international health issues affecting members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Church’s worldwide humanitarian efforts. “Plans for this medical school are underway, and specific target dates will be announced as they are set. It is envisioned that unlike many medical schools, the BYU medical school will be focused on teaching with research in areas of strategic importance to the Church. In time the school will draw students from within and outside the United States. “The BYU medical school will not create its own hospital or hospital system. BYU and Intermountain Health are discussing a mutually beneficial clinical relationship. Also, it is anticipated that the medical school will seek collaborative relationships with various entities in Utah, including the University of Utah.” —The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

  • Travis was serving as bishop of his ward when he found himself in need of new employment. He successfully found a job by using two of the Church’s free resources for job seekers: 1. “Find a Better Job” self-reliance class 2. Active Job Search group Here's what he said: “The Active Job Search (AJS) group was instrumental in finding the job I believe I deserved. “I began my job search by participating in a local self-reliance workshop [‘Find a Better Job’], which was hosted by our stake. “After completing the course, my instructor suggested I participate in an AJS group and explore the other employment services the Church offers online. “I am very grateful for this recommendation. I was assigned a coach, who was fantastic, and meeting every weekday morning in an AJS group with the missionaries and participants provided the spiritual and mental support I needed during my job search while also helping to improve my job search skills. “Participation was easy, and I found that when I made an effort to participate and accept assignments, then I made progress. “Progress looked different for each participant, and I enjoyed being able to celebrate the wins each participant was experiencing along their journey. I strongly recommend AJS for any job seeker.” -Travis Quiller Learn more about Active Job Search groups here: https://lnkd.in/g2_Jref9 To attend a “Find a Better Job” self-reliance class, please contact your bishop, as these classes are held locally. #JobSearchTips #jobsearch #CareerGoals

We celebrate this news, recalling the feelings of unity, peace, and friendship that characterized the event when it was last hosted in Utah in 2002. “We stand ready to support the 2034 Olympic Games in welcoming athletes, volunteers, and visitors from around the world. The Church is committed to efforts that make Salt Lake City a host city that embodies values of service, cooperation, and mutual respect. As the home of the international headquarters of the Church, we will work with organizers at both local and international levels to welcome the world as 2034 draws near.” —The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
