We’re advancing transformative change in Cleveland’s historically underserved communities and beyond. This work received a significant boost recently thanks to a $3 million grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This investment will help fuel our work with community partners like Syatt to advance an equitable, climate-resilient, and community-driven parks plan. Together, we’re paving the way for a stronger Cleveland. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eyPCTayw

Originally part of the redevelopment plan in the 1970s, we recently helped celebrate 50 years of Central Village Park in St. Paul, Minnesota. This park has long been cherished by the neighborhood, which is why we’re working with local partners and residents to rethink the space to better meet the needs of more than 10,000 people within a 10-minute walk. Together, we’ll create a space that reflects the community’s multiculturalism and resilient history. Read more: https://bit.ly/3LTu6m8

Exploring the great outdoors is truly refreshing. The intense summer heat can prompt us to seek solace in less urban environments, so we asked our colleagues, 'Which national monument would you choose as your escape from the city's noise?' The Appalachian Trail is one of America’s most iconic long-distance hiking trails, and while its footpath is fully protected, development and other pressures still threaten the trail’s views, wildlife habitat, and connections to surrounding communities. We are working to protect this legendary trail for generations to come, which is why we recently helped protect over 500 acres surrounding the A.T. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gr9nCJsa
