The Town of Summerville Municipal Court will be canceling all court sessions scheduled for Monday through Thursday next week. However, please note that pretrials scheduled for Friday, August 16th, will still proceed as planned at this time. 🌧️ Tropical Storm Debby Update 🌧️ Tropical Storm Debby is currently 90 miles east of Savannah, GA. It's expected to make landfall near Bulls Bay, SC, after midnight tonight. Key Points: 🔹 Timing: Landfall late tonight or early Thursday. 🔹 Weather: Increased showers and thunderstorms expected in the Quad County Area this afternoon, with up to 4-6 inches of rain possible. 🔹 Flooding: Flash flooding is a concern due to saturated grounds. A Flood Watch is in effect. 🔹 Warnings: A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Southeast SC coastal counties and Dorchester County. Stay tuned for updates and stay safe! Tropical Storm Debby Update ▪️The potential for dangerous flooding/flash flooding is decreasing, but many areas are still flooded. Additional rainfall could worsen current conditions. ▪️The Storm Surge Warning has been discontinued, but minor coastal flooding remains possible along the SC coast during evening high tides. ▪️Tropical storm winds/wind gusts are mainly confined to SC counties (especially coastal) and GA coastal counties. ▪️Long-term river flooding will likely hinder recovery efforts into next week and possibly beyond. Debby's Path: ▪️Currently emerging off Chatham County, GA coast, expected to slowly move east into the Atlantic through early Wednesday. ▪️Expected to turn north late Wednesday, with a second landfall along the SC coast early Thursday. ▪️Not expected to reach hurricane strength before second landfall.
