Manahil, a mother in #Sudan, cuddles her 6-month-old son, Baraa. Little Baraa is enrolled in a UNICEF-supported nutrition program and is currently recovering from a case of severe acute malnutrition. "I was very scared that Baraa was going to die,” says Manahil. “He was so sick and malnourished." In two months, Baraa has gained more than six pounds and is growing stronger every day. "My dream is to see Baraa growing up healthy and becoming a doctor or teacher in the future,” says Manahil. 💙

We advocate for UNICEF’s work worldwide to ensure that every child is healthy, educated, protected and respected.
About us
Over eight decades, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has built an unprecedented global support system for the world’s children. UNICEF relentlessly works day in and day out to deliver the essentials that give every child an equitable chance in life: health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. UNICEF USA advances the global mission of UNICEF by rallying the American public to support the world’s most vulnerable children. Together, we have helped save and meaningfully improve more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization.

This is Fatima, a mother living with her children in a camp for displaced people in North Darfur, #Sudan. Fatima and her family were forced to leave their home due to ongoing war and violence. Now, they’re witnessing famine in Zazam camp firsthand — and Fatima's daughter is experiencing malnutrition. UNICEF and partners are on the ground, working to deliver vital supplies including Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), a nutrient-dense paste that can help restore children's health and nutrition.

“My greatest dream at this moment is to return home with my children,” says Stephanie, a mother of four in #Haiti. In Haiti, violence from armed groups has forced more than 578,000 people from their homes. UNICEF is on the ground, working to protect children and their families.

Have you heard about the Concert for Bangladesh? In 1971, musicians Ravi Shankar and George Harrison organized a concert to raise funding and awareness for the humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh and UNICEF's relief efforts amid suffering from floods, famine and civil war. It was the first major benefit concert of its kind — setting the precedent that music 🎵 could be used to create positive impact at scale. Now, over 50 years later, children in Bangladesh face similar risks from ongoing violence and unrest. But UNICEF's presence remains — ensuring every child is healthy and protected — and The George Harrison Fund for UNICEF continues the concert's legacy by providing support for critical UNICEF programs not only in Bangladesh, but anywhere children are in need. Learn more about the Concert for Bangladesh and its lasting impact. 💙
