“Having a safe place to call home is a basic human right and we all share the responsibility to uphold it.” We couldn’t agree more with United Way Worldwide CEO Angela Williams in her recent Op-Ed with Newsweek. We are doing our part to ensure that everyone in Central Kentucky can thrive- join us as we LIVE UNITED! #211 #liveunited #fairhousingact #unitedway #thrivingcommunities
Every family deserves a safe place to call home. Yet, too many are forced to choose between essential needs like bills, childcare, and food. 211 has seen a surge in calls for housing assistance - received over 5 million calls last year alone. United Way Worldwide CEO, Angela F. Williams, JD, M.Div, and National Fair Housing Alliance CEO, Lisa Rice, are leading efforts to combat housing insecurity and discrimination. In their latest Newsweek article, they emphasize the need for robust policies like the Fair Housing Act's AFFH mandate and federal funding for the 211 helpline to build resilient, equitable communities. Learn how you can help us create a future where fair housing is a reality for all: https://lnkd.in/ekdAuMm8

They provided critical diagnostic services that led to a life-saving leukemia diagnosis and immediate treatment. Today, Greg is at home, continuing his fight as an outpatient.
