On this #PurpleHeartDay, we honor and salute the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country. National Purple Heart Day, observed each year on Aug. 7, is often described as a day for Americans to remember and honor the men and women who bravely represented their country and were wounded or killed while serving.
