The Atlas V rocket has long been a mainstay for space launches for U.S. space launches. With #USSF51 we sent the Atlas V off with a fond farewell to a #SpaceForce workhorse.
🚀 Since 1957, the Atlas family has launched a wide array of space vehicles, including satellites, probes, and space planes. Today, the Atlas V completed its final launch for the United States Space Force, marking the end of an era and 53 launches for the #SpaceCoast. 🌌 "The #AtlasV launch system has been the stalwart for national security launches over the past 20 years. This NSSL partnership is a prime example demonstrating our resiliency and capacity to support national security objectives in a time of evolving #GreatPowerCompetition." - Dr. Walt Lauderdale, USSF-51 Mission Director.
