Space is a vital interest integral to national security, building and maintaining expertise in space operations is necessary as we continue to look to the future and ensure there is #NeverADayWithoutSpace.
“It’s clear to me that our Army is missing a major piece of the puzzle when it comes to space operations: a dedicated military occupational specialty that allows NCOs as well as officers to specialize in space at the earliest stages of their career. The Army has a place in space, and we need to continue leading the charge by giving our Soldiers every opportunity possible to become the experts we’ll turn to during the next conflict." ~LTG Sean Gainey, #ArmySMDC CG at the 27th #SMDSymposium

United States Space Force Col. Nick Hague and his crewmates from the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration SpaceX Crew-9 mission met with Airmen and Guardians at the Sands Space History Center to speak with and give thanks to representatives of military units who make manned spaceflight missions possible. "I can't overstate how crucial the Airmen and Guardians of Space Launch Delta 45 are to making human spaceflight possible," said Hague. "It is this giant team that is all interconnected. Everybody that works at Patrick (Space Force Base), everybody that works at Cape (Canaveral Space Force Station), needs to know that they're riding on that rocket with us."
