The Dallas Park and Recreation Department and Fair Park First have started a $140 million renovation of the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium. This is a time-sensitive project, set to be completed by the 2025 State Fair of Texas — and VoidForm is helping to secure the foundation. We are assisting JE Dunn Construction in meeting tight deadlines on their concrete work and ensure the stadium reduces the future risk from Dallas’ highly expansive soil. Under the beams and slabs, you’ll find a variety of SureVoid® products. After the concrete is poured, the void forms will be finished off with BackFill Retainers, protecting the void space from lateral expansive soil damage. #Construction #engineering #structuralengineering

North America's Premier Void Form Systems | Protecting Concrete Structures & Underground Utilities from Damaging Soil
About us
Since 1980, VoidForm Products, LLC has designed and developed products to mitigate the risk of structural damage from expansive, collapsible, seismic, and corrosive soil and improve structural longevity. Geotechnical, structural, and mechanical engineers trust us to help safeguard residential, municipal, industrial, and commercial projects across the U.S. and Canada by specifying a broad range of void form and utility isolation systems. From SureVoid®, our paper-based degradable void system, to StormVoid®, our plastic-based non-degradable void system, to our PlumbingVoid® utility isolation system, and beyond, our products provide complete protection around structures. Void forms create an air pocket or void space between the surrounding soil and the concrete structure. When placed under slabs, around piers, or under beams, the air pocket created by the form enables the soil to migrate to the void space without applying pressure or contacting the concrete structure, which prevents long-term damage. Utility isolation systems support below-grade plumbing and conduit while creating a void space around the pipes, protecting them from migrating and expansive soil damage.

We're thrilled to see the City of Fort Worth bringing the community together with the new Northwest Community Center. This impressive facility will feature meeting rooms, a culinary kitchen, a state-of-the-art fitness room, a group fitness room, a basketball gym, and space for workshops and classes. We provided over 18,000 SQ FT of SlabVoid to RTD Construction LLC to ensure the new center remains a community hub in Fort Worth for many years to come. Our carton forms will create a void space underneath the building to ensure its structural longevity — despite the expansive soil. Want to see more VoidForm on real-world products? Last week, 63 percent of people guessed soil expansion was the leading cause of buildings settling years after construction. Were they right? Volumetric changes in soil occur because of frost heave, water expansion, or soil collapse. In North America, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 and 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐢𝐥 cause the most damage.

American Airlines is adding extra Flight Simulator Bays to their American Airlines Flight Training Academy in Dallas, TX. In partnership with Cates Courtney & Roebuck, the project's concrete contractor, we supported these state-of-the-art additions with VoidForm systems. With each flight simulator priced at $20 million, VoidForm's cartons and components help protect this hyper-sensitive equipment from possible instability due to expansive soil pressures across the facility's foundation.
