In the middle of the night, I learned, along with all my #Tesla Global #Charging colleagues, the Tesla Charging org is no more. I am extremely grateful for my time with the company, and the personal growth and professional relationships I made along the way. I'm thankful for the opportunities this company provided me from leading real estate transactions for two of Tesla's most important markets (SoCal and Texas), and later joining the Charging org to lead #RealEstate for North America. I'm thankful to have led the deals on vital company initiatives both public and those not revealed yet which I can't and won't comment upon. Finally, I'm thankful for the opportunity to work with the amazing people who make Tesla what it is. Whether it was the NA Charging Team ( George Bahadue, Alex Kucey, Hannah K., T.J. C., Pike Hughes, Rebecca Tinucci, Max de Zegher, Tessa Rogers, Philip Henry de Frahan, Caitlin Leathers, Evan Koebel, and many others) or the Sales and Service Real Estate org with great leaders like Jennifer (Chia Hui) Wu and Dani Gomes, MSIRE, it was an experience I will forever be grateful for. When I wrote the below two weeks ago, it held true then just as it does now, namely, if it wasn't for what transpired last night, I would not be prepared for the next good thing God brings my way. Hardships are always temporal, and, without that context, I would not be able to deal with this news as well I am. Thank you to all who have reached out to me already. Your friendship during the good times as well as the bad is sincerely appreciated. Elon is all about speaking directly, and I am, too. There's always talk about "first principles," and one that I would consider paramount in anything we do is treating others with dignity and respect. Sending nothing more than "Dear Employee..." emails in the middle of the night to people who have helped bring a company to what it is, some with many years experience in said company, is the opposite of that and not the way to sustainable, long term success. There are exceptions to that rule, and I hope Tesla is one of those as the many great people still there move forward. As for my next steps, I'm going to take a day or so to process this with optimism, and be ready to tackle whatever is next. #Onward ! #EV #OpenToWork (Note: Some news orgs are reporting what was said as “bitterness.” My sentiment is anything but that. I am sincerely appreciative of my time at Tesla, and wish nothing but the best for the company I am humbled to have been a part of. I don’t want my words and my overall appreciation for everything Tesla has done for EV to get lost and conveyed as anything else. I also believe it's a wise practice to always seek to evaluate things objectively and honestly. I hope my post above conveyed this balance.)

To all my #Tesla colleagues who were affected by today’s reorganization, you are incredible people with gifts that will transcend this difficult time in your life. When Covid hit and decimated the gym industry, I was left wondering what I was going to do. It was a time in my life I never want to relive, but I now know, if I hadn’t experienced those series of events outside of my control, I wouldn’t have been prepared for the next thing good thing God brought my way. Some of you will already know this life lesson well while others may be in the process of learning it for the first time. Regardless, I encourage you to stay positive and if there’s anything I can do to be a support, even if it’s just being an ear, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m thankful for our professional time together and all I have learned from each of you whom I had the privelege to work with.

Lane, God has a plan and trust me it will be GREAT! I had the same thing happen to me 25 years ago, and God blessed with a job that I never thought I would have. It will happen to you and it will be GREAT! God bless you and your family, Don
