“I had the privilege of working with Brian at Bird, his level of commitment and compassion for his team members is beyond words. One of my most memorable things about working at Bird was Brian's leadership and his ability to break barriers within organization and allow cross functional collaborative projects. Brian truly empowers and equips each and every one of his team members to break through their shells and aim for higher goals. His personality and upbeat attitude is extremely contagious and he knows how to create a friendly yet professional ambient to make work fun for everyone involved. Above all, Brian is extremely knowledgeable when it comes down to building data infrastructures to support many different products. His hands on ability to code and work alongside the data analyst/data science team makes him extremely valuable and easy to work with. Brian is the true enabler of Profound System of Knowledge which Dr. Deming describes in his book, The New Economics. ”

Using a community of 200 teachers and 100 parents, we embarked on a 10-week collaborative process to talk to members about how to improve the design of the flyer. The process generated ideas such as including student recommendations and showing interior pages so parents could judge the reading level of the books. Results? The new flyer generated a 3 percent increase in sales in test markets.
