Spring 2024 fashion trends are ushering in a vibrant array of styles, invigorating our wardrobes as we embrace the new season. A resurgence of bright colors is evident, with "Peach Fuzz," Pantone's Color of the Year, and radiant sunny yellows leading the charge. Tailored suits are evolving, showcasing looser fits and unexpected fabric combinations that breathe new life into office attire. The "balletcore" aesthetic continues to thrive, with ballet flats and wrap tops gaining popularity among fashion enthusiasts. Sustainability takes center stage, as many designers prioritize eco-friendly materials and repurposed fabrics in their collections. Accessories are also undergoing a transformation, with oversized bags replacing diminutive purses, blending style with practicality. These trends reflect a harmonious blend of comfort, elegance, and environmental consciousness, encapsulating the values of fashion-savvy consumers in 2024. #FashionTrends2024 #SustainableFashion #FashionIndustry #EcoFriendlyFashion #FashionDesign #StyleInspiration #FashionMarketing #FashionCareers #FashionCommunity

In the fast-paced world of fashion, trends come and go. But heritage styles, techniques, and textiles hold an enduring charm. Here at Brand Lady, we believe in incorporating these timeless elements into our collections. Traditional clothing carries the stories of our ancestors, their skills, and their way of life. By supporting businesses that use heritage techniques, we ensure these practices don't fade away. We source materials and collaborate with artisans who employ age-old weaving, dyeing, and embroidery methods. This not only preserves cultural heritage but also fosters sustainable practices by reducing reliance on mass production. We can incorporate traditional elements into contemporary designs, creating pieces that resonate with modern tastes. For example, we recently launched a line of dresses that features intricate embroidery patterns inspired by regional folklore, but with a modern silhouette perfect for everyday wear. Heritage clothing can be a powerful conversation starter. It allows us to connect with people from different backgrounds and appreciate the richness of human cultures. In our boutique, we love seeing customers discover a piece that speaks to their heritage or ignites their curiosity about another culture. It's a beautiful reminder that fashion can be a bridge that transcends borders. What are your thoughts on the role of heritage in the fashion industry? Share your stories and insights in the comments below! #heritageday #clothing

𝗛𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 The term haute couture is French, "haute" meaning "high" or "elegant," and "couture" translating to "sewing" or "dressmaking." The term haute couture generally refers to a specific type of upper garment common in Europe during the 16th to the 18th century, or to the upper portion of a modern dress to distinguish it from the skirt and sleeves. Beginning in the mid-nineteenth century, Paris became the centre of a growing industry that focused on making outfits from high-quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable of sewers—often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Couture translates literally from French as "dressmaking", sewing, or needlework and is also used as a common abbreviation of haute couture and can often refer to the same thing in spirit.

When I tell people that I launched a fashion brand and operate in the luxury business, I often encounter a common misconception. 👎🏻 Many associate luxury solely with material possessions and extravagance. However, there is an extreme humility in the world of luxury, especially among those who work within it. They understand that true luxury is not about owning material things. It’s about cherishing what money can’t buy—health, family, friends, and the intangible moments that bring genuine happiness and fulfillment. Many are unable to understand this, and that’s why they might also miss the true value of luxury, which is to appreciate the extraordinary art of craftsmanship. The dedication, skill, and passion that go into creating high-quality items are what truly define luxury. Which side are you on? Do you recognize the true value of luxury, and where do you think it lies, or do you view it differently? #CapriceBespoke #LuxuryRedefined #TrueLuxury #FashionIndustry #Craftsmanship #MadeinItaly CAPRICE BESPOKE®

Evolution of fashion From royalty to runway. From the Egyptian Pharaohs and the Romans With their fine textiles and exquisite jewelry Or the medieval European’s skilled craftsmanship Where luxury was synonymous with skilled craftsmanship and rare materials, Luxury fashion has existed in some shape, predating recorded history. A notable turning point came in 19th-century Paris, Where Design houses like Charles Frederick Worth Set the foundation for Huate fashion as we know it today. Haute couture emphasized custom-made, one-of-a-kind designs Combining meticulous craftsmanship & innovative designs. While the 1920’s, was an era of geometric patterns, bold & striking design Luxury fashion houses like Gucci & Chanel gained their popularity here With their stylish and liberated fashion outlook for modern, independent women. Post WW2 luxury fashion was getting revived around 1947 Which paved the way for prominent luxury houses like Christian Dior, who introduced the "New Look", Featuring sumptuous fabrics and full skirts. A return to opulence after years of austerity. The 20th century saw luxury fashion’s fusion with pop culture An era where celebrities and musicians became fashion icons With brand collaborations and the introduction of luxury streetwear Led by brands like SUPREME blurring the lines between high fashion & street fashion. Fast forward to today where digitalization and globalization Make way for luxury fashion to transcend borders and boundaries. Luxury fashion is now more than expensive materials and craftsmanship, It is more than sustainability. It is all those things plus Maintaining tradition with innovation. It's about accessibility. It's about the experience and emotions. At JourneyXX we are pushing the luxury narrative forward with our bespoke linen and swimwear that embody the idea of timeless, sustainable, exclusive yet accessible fashion. We all may have seen the final product, but do we know what goes into creating the piece of art to perfection? Here's how Punjabi Saraf Jewellers have been producing world-class diamond jewelry for the last 77 years: Design Conceptualization: It starts with the design team sketching the jewelry piece. In simple words, this involves picking an inspiration, checking feasibility, and arranging diamonds. Diamond Selection: Selection of the diamonds are based on factors like cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. This step is crucial, as the quality and size of the diamonds greatly impacts the final piece. Model Making: We Create a prototype of the jewelry piece using techniques like wax carving or computer-aided design (CAD). Followed by a feasibility check, ensuring that the stones and the cast (ghat) are always secure. Casting: After the model is finalized, we use the wax casting method, in which the jewelry piece is cast in gold (14kt/18kt). This involves pouring molten metal into the mold of the model made of wax. Setting the Diamonds: This is one of the most important steps, where the diamonds are placed onto the metal base (Ghat) using various techniques of diamond setting. This step requires precision and careful handling to ensure the diamonds are securely held in place. Polishing and Finishing: Polish is done on the jewelry piece to remove any scratches or imperfections and bring out its shine. This step may also involve enameling or engraving. Here, the piece shapes into the final product. Quality Check: Last step is to inspect the finished jewelry piece to ensure it meets quality standards in terms of craftsmanship and diamond placement. Here, we ensure that the product meets the desired specifications, before being presented to clients. #diamondjewelley #knowyourjewellery

There’s more to it than what’s mentioned here, recently a prominent institution had called the companies that are coming in for for the placement to hike their package. They were telling the companies that the Undergraduate program would demand a base of 7.5 LPA for its candidates. For a moment I thought it was for the Post graduate programs. I was wrong. Along with me, 2 prominent business owners had received calls, one a luxury jewellery brand that’s been in business for over a century, and another luxury leather manufacturing business with multiple brands under them. Now the thing is not about “7.5 lpa” that we are challenging, but the worthiness of the candidates the institution produces with respect to its previous track record. No business in their right mind would be willing to offer 7.5 LPA to someone who is not Industry ready, and no matter what amount of “exposure” and “skill” they were imparted with, it simply can’t hold a candle to what the market actually wants. Long story short, fashion institutions in India need a hard look at themselves, before unintentionally ruining career scabalility prospects for its students as no company justify spoon feeding freshers and pay them 65 and over every month.

Monochrome a timeless trend. Why do I love this trend? It’s straightforward, yet powerful. It allows us to highlight fine details, like the texture of the fabric and the craftsmanship of the tailoring, without any distractions. There’s something undeniably sophisticated about a single-color ensemble. In style, the power of a single color cannot be underestimated. Monochrome it aligns perfectly with my brand commitment to elegance and attention to detail. Whether it’s a sharp suit or a summer set, sticking to one color can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. Elegance is simplicity.

Decoding the Enigma of the Inconveniently Chic In the world of fashion and accessories, the line between luxury and utility can often blur, leaving us perplexed by the choices of the affluent and fashionable. One such conundrum that continues to baffle the masses is the seemingly impractical nature of luxury items—particularly handbags that can barely accommodate a lipstick, let alone the myriad essentials of modern life. Well, perhaps the most intriguing aspect of luxury handbags lies in the power of perception. For the affluent and fashion-forward, carrying a diminutive purse that can barely hold a lipstick is not a sign of impracticality, but rather a statement of privilege and exclusivity. It signals to the world that the bearer is exempt from the mundane concerns of the masses. Thus, while luxury handbags may defy the conventions of utility, they serve a higher purpose as symbols of status, sophistication, and self-expression. So, the next time you marvel at a purse that can't fit a lipstick, remember that its true value lies not in its functionality, but in the narrative it weaves and the identity it shapes for its bearer. After all, for the privileged Perception is of greater value than Practicality. My Bag: Mini Fendigraphy by Fendi #luxury #opulence #sophistication #lifestyle #handbags

🌟 In the recent Met Gala event Alia Bhatt was talk of the town ❗ Handcrafted sari designed by 🇲🇽 Indian couturier Sabyasachi caught the limelight. Superlative Indian karigari, with sequins, beads and age-old techniques and traditional embroideries fused in the modern avatar wowed the world ❣ It was a perfect blend of history of Indian craftsmanship with avant-garde aesthetics. The delicate couture sari took about 1965 hours across months to create by a team of 163 people including craftsmen, dyers and embroiderers. These craftsmen showcase the culture and traditions of India. They pass on the know-how and techniques through generations and weave the artistic fabric of India. They are the backbone of Indian fashion industry and custodians of rare art forms. For more than three decades, several global luxury brands have subcontracted their embroidery work to Indian karigars (though not openly), now is the time for Indian designers to put their best foot forward to showcase the spectacular Indian artforms in the global world of fashion. Met Gala 2024 clearly shows Indian weaves have immense potential to gain global appeal. Indian homegrown luxury brands can ride on the strength of Indian artisans’ rich history, legacy and design capabilities to create global luxury brands. In order to achieve this, Indian brands should communicate India’s true legacy and strength in the most effective manner to global audience. It will not only help them command a premium positioning but will also help in getting due credit and recognition as well as financial gains for the thousands of artisans of our country. While, it took almost five decades for Indian fashion to reach Paris Haute Couture fashion week, I think India has arrived now and there is no looking back. The coming decade belongs to India and the spotlight should be on the India’s artisanal legacy. #luxury #India #homegrown #brands #Luxeanalytics
