How can you use CRM tools to manage your influencer relationships?
Multiple Influencer CRM platforms exist allowing you to do everything from sourcing, outreach, contracts, content reviews/approvals, and payments in one place. Some of these CRMs have different features, larger databases, deeper audience analytics, etc. Pricing for these CRM platforms vary as well - definitely shop around and identify which CRM might work best for you and your team. Some to look into include: Upfluence, Mavrck, TapInfluence, CreatorIQ, and GRIN.

How can you negotiate better influencer rates without compromising quality?
Make sure your creative brief is clear and allows the influencer to have a strong understanding of the purpose of the campaign. Be sure to include any Do's and Don'ts as well. You selected this influencer because you felt their content aligned with your brand, so be sure to allow them to do their thing as they know how to best connect with their audience. Set out a clear timeline on when drafts are due, when they can expect revisions/feedback, a clear posting date and payment date. Ideally this is someone who you'll work with again and you want to maintain a strong relationship working with them.

Invite influencers to be ambassadors. Rather than just signing them on for a one-time post or deal, work with them on a packaged contract. Typically, when packaging multiple assets/posts, you can negotiate better rates. Also, by working with the same influencers on a regular or continued basis, it demonstrates true brand advocacy and reminds their followers of your brand multiple times.

Identify Influencers who are already talking about or using your products. They'll be a natural fit and most likely to have some wiggle room because they already love your brand. Another way to potentially negotiate rates with influencers who are already brand advocates is to offer additional gifted product to them (not just what they might need for the campaign). If it's a product they've been paying for on their own already, they may be willing to work with your budget.
