What are the main offerings US employees expect in an employment package? Aside from salary, the biggest factor a US employee considers before accepting a role is their medical benefits. 🏥 Is your plan comprehensive? Can they continue to use their providers of choice? how much are you offering as an employer contribution and what will be their out-of-pocket monthly costs? 🌅The next key is your leave offering including paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and addition offerings. While there is no legislation in the US requiring paid vacation time, recent surveys show that 76% of US workers believe it is important that companies offer paid vacation time. 📈As more and more Americans are prioritizing saving for retirement you will also need to consider your retirement saving options and how much you are willing to contribute. Want to learn more about how to attract the best US talent by creating a competitive employment package? Download our newest eBook here⬇️ https://loom.ly/Rjx9T5k

Including recruiting in the bid process will give you a leg up over the competition. It is also important to have the talent ready to go when your company wins the contract. Read our GovCon handbook for pointers on how to maximize your revenue in this challenging landscape. #Recruiting #HeliosHR #TalentAcquisition

Maverick Mark's Invaluable Career Empowerment Insight #3 At the end of the day, in an employment screening process, the potential employer is seeking to determine two bottom-line variables: -1- Why YOU for THEM? Create and convey your customized compelling case for the particular employment opportunity. -2- Why perhaps NOT YOU for THEM? Anticipate concerns the potential employer may have with your background and credentials compared to the specific employment opportunity. Interview preparation is paramount to excelling in the crucial employment screening process and taking part in a proven mock interview process with debriefs provides an invaluable competitive advantage.

As HR professionals, we are tasked with a mission much like Hermione’s: to ensure that the organization is prepared for every challenge with the best team possible. HR strategy IS business strategy. When building a cohesive organizational strategy, HR leaders need a holistic understanding of the business, operating procedures, competitive landscape, buyer, and end-user. Take a read below for a fun twist on organizational alignment! #peopleoperations #organizationaldevelopment #HRstrategy

Challenger, Gray and Christmas (not made up, I promise) is one of the nation’s largest outplacement firms (they’re having a great year, BTW). They publish a monthly report detailing layoffs, wages, and such. Some fascinating numbers TBH. April’s report: https://lnkd.in/gy2hTbuw “So far this year, companies have announced 322,043 job cuts, down 4.6% from the 337,411 announced through April last year.” “The labor market remains tight. But as labor costs continue to rise, companies will be slower to hire, and we expect further cuts will be needed. This low April figure may be the calm before the storm” “…the average duration of unemployment from the Bureau of Labor Statistics stood at roughly 5 months in March, or 21.6 weeks. That is compared to 4.4 months, or 19.1 weeks, during the same month last year.”

I had the opportunity to listen Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP at #SHRM24 discuss the cyclone of changes coming for HR: 🌀 AI’s reshaping of work 🌀 Disappearing jobs and reskilling demands 🌀 Rising incivility and challenges to IE&D These changes will challenge HR and deepen our impact on the world. But we MUST bring our people and organizations through the coming storms.
