You're facing skepticism from clients. How can you keep your confidence and composure intact?
The two biggest client compliments that always stick with me are: 1. You get us (our business, our product) and 2. You listened. So when I face skepticism about the recommendation or strategy or even the work process, staying positive and providing evidence are certainly helpful in tone and substance but the real progress is in the empathy and responding from close listening and pausing to think about it. Maybe not rushing to an answer even. The relationship is often stronger afterwards because of it too.

What are some of the best practices for leading and managing a creative team?
One way I learned to do this in consulting is not just by encouraging more opinions, but by encouraging (and being encouraged to) ask more questions. Questions are a very comfortable and practical way to open up the aperture and even bring up uncomfortable or provocative ideas without the rest of the group feeling dumb or naive.

What are some of the best practices for leading and managing a creative team?
Very important for the leader to do it for all or to involve the broader team in what that looks like. It can be a vision or an inspirational "bar" of what good looks like for us so people know what is the standard that is expected and what great could look like. At one organization, I literally drew (with black tape) a bar on the wall at the mid-section and then attached creative examples above / at / below the bar to illustrate what I thought fit and then did two worksessions with the team to change/edit and/or add to it. Felt like we walked away with a shared vision even if it was directed/led by one person.
