How do you determine the best Linux distro for your specific needs?
After a certain point of tinkering with Linux distributions one will realize they're all the same under the hood. Many distributions follow the Linux Standard Base specification. Very few deviate from the standard. What I find most important about a Linux distribution is the quality of engineering put into it and the community behind it. Quality engineering is important to me as I have the belief of "poor engineering kills people". Community is especially important. Without a healthy community one becomes discouraged from putting in the time to learn how to use a specific distribution. I believe the best example of a healthy community is the Rocky Linux community. People are kind, caring and patient.
