“Mark is not your typical CFO whom stays in his office all day long. He gets up, rolls up his sleeves, and multitasks making sure everything is in order while keeping the company going strong.. He makes everyone proud. He'll create a legacy, and pass on wisdom to the next generation of workers. While he was at Matco-Norca he was the leader in our system upgrade which was badly needed at the time. He listens to everyone and knows how to deal with just about everything thrown at him. Can make any company into a great team. Makes sure everything is covered. Mark was a mentor to me. Sad to see him leave us for another job but was happy when I knew he was off to bigger things and it was his time to shine again. He helped Matco-Norca in many ways and Matco-Norca is much better having had Mark work for us. He accomplished so much in a year and a half. I hope to work with him again as he has a lot of knowledge. I am surprised he doesn't own a business as he did wonders at Matco-Norca and everyone loved his work ethics and determination. Mark is like a four-star general. He will direct your team in the right direction. This gentleman is a sure go-getter who accomplishes goals at the speed of sound. If you want an individual whom can take on the task of COO & CFO with having a personality to go with it, this is your man!”

What do you do if your superiors in Operational Planning are not recognizing your efforts?
A wise man once told me that self praise is no praise. If something was truly an above and beyond accomplishment for the team, then do something special like a breakfast or pizza Friday to recognize the team and invite your superiors to attend. Definitley focus on the team, who ultimately makes you successful as the leader. The idea of doing a succinct briefing to recognize the team is a good one.
