Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their growing New York City team. As the Royalty Accounting Manager, you will lead a team of royalty accountants, meticulously review royalty contracts, and prepare accurate and timely royalty reports.
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager:
Team Management: Manage two senior royalty accountants, including handling administrative tasks and addressing questions and concerns.
Contract Compliance: Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with royalty contracts.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate and timely quarterly royalty reports.
Account Reviews: Perform reviews, analysis, and reconciliations of royalty accounts.
Department Collaboration: Advise and work with other departments such as accounting and legal.
Review & Approval: Review and approve monthly journal entries prepared by Senior Accountants.
Internal Controls: Monitor key internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
License Audits & Meetings: Participate in license audits and meetings with department leaders.
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 8 years of related work experience.
Skills: Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational, communication, computer, and leadership skills.
