Accounting Manager

My client, a Global Company in the CPG/Retail space, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team. This is a newly created role due to growth as it is a very exciting time to join the company. You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will oversee a staff of 2 so you must have strong management experience in prior roles. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the completion of monthly close activities, lead production and consolidation of monthly results, and will oversee the US GAAP reconciliation and preparation of financial statements. You will work with the AP, Treasury, and FP&A team and work collaboratively with the Group Finance/reporting team as well. You will ensure timely delivery of audit requirements and partner with the Corporate Controller with the continued evolution of the accounting function capabilities. Ideal candidate should be excited about implementing new systems and new practices and have had that experience at some point in their career, and improving efficiencies in order to elevate the outcome of the Accounting department. You should have a mix of public accounting experience, and ideally have obtained your CPA, and now work in the private sector with a minimum of 6+ years' experience. Experience in the hospitality, retail and/or CPG industries highly preferred as well as advanced excel modeling and working with large volumes of data is required.
