About the Company Hiring: Our client is a well-regarded professional services firm based in Western NY with a strong culture that values its employees.
About the Job: As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for all administrative functions including accounting, HR, payroll, benefits, and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing the daily activities of office staff to ensure efficient operations, service delivery, and expense control.
- Managing accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, and assets.
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.
- Evaluating accounting processes and systems and implementing optimizations.
- Ensuring all billing and accounting records are accurate.
- Developing, implementing, and improving upon procedures and policies for all administrative activities.
- Managing record-keeping, document preparation, mail distribution, maintenance services, technical support, project coordination/scheduling, and other related internal operations.
- Overseeing the selection of vendors and the purchase of office equipment and supplies.
- Onboarding, training, and coaching office staff to achieve optimal performance.
- Managing key HR functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, payroll, and employee records.
- Developing and delivering internal staff communications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree desired
- 5+ years of experience managing accounting and HR functions in a professional service setting
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to create efficiency
- Proactive, problem-solver with excellent interpersonal skills who wants to create value
- Team player who wants to learn and grow professionally in a highly stable organization that hires for the long-term
Salary: $80,000 -$100,000 base salary plus bonus and benefits
