POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Senior Manager, reporting to the Accounting Director, will be accountable for developing, managing, and growing the Company’s accounting team and operations. The Accounting Senior Manager will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with US GAAP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and monitor day-to-day accounting activities, including revenue/accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, general accounting, and payroll
Prepare and book day-to-day and month-end journal entries
Manage the monthly accounting close process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, proper review of balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of an internal reporting package
File yearly property tax, assist with income tax requests from tax advisors, supervise 1099 filings, and file sales and use tax monthly
Ensure tax and regulation compliance of foreign operations with the support of tax advisors (e.g., VAT, other non-income taxes)
Supervise D2C transactions and automation projects, and assist with monthly journal entries and reconciliations
Manage inventory transactions and reconciliations as needed, including landed cost, periodic inventory reconciliations, and accounting treatment for inventory related adjustments
Perform reconciliations and journal entries related to fixtures, receivables, and accruals
Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
Assist with transformational initiatives including implementation of internal controls, documentation of accounting procedures, enhancement to monthly reporting in collaboration with the finance team, updates and/or reviews of technical accounting memos, if any, etc.
Supervise and provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the accounting team

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 3-4 years of supervisory experience
Minimum 3 years audit experience
Inventory experience is a must
Advanced Excel skills and experience with NetSuite ERP system
Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive)
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Hands-on, flexible, and able to adapt to changes quickly
Able to work both collaboratively across teams and independently
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
