Accounts Payable Specialist

I am currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist opening with a #1 rated company in the Chicagoland area experiencing tremendous growth! What you will do:

• Ensure three-way matching
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prioritize invoices according to discount potentials and payment terms.
• Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute accordingly.
• Maintain files, documentation, and databases in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct any discrepancies.
• 1099 preparation and maintenance.
• Responds to all vendor inquiries in a timely manner.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Accounts Payable processing high volume invoices
