This is a full-time position located on-site at our Corporate Office in Monroe, NC.
The Production Technician I is responsible is for creating lot-specific plans from existing and new plan templates within the defined system and company guidelines. The Production Technician I, at the direction of the Production Manager, draws lot-specific plans with current selections and collateral, provides field support and technical assistance to various departments of True Homes and their clients.
Responsibilities
Creates lot-specific plan product on-time at the direction of the Production Manager, adhering to product portfolio standards, elevation standards, value engineering best practices, and detail standardization, including collaboration with internal business functions and relevant trade partners
Ensures that all lot-specific plans will match sales collateral, community, and product specifications generated at the time of contract
Responds to field calls and emails per department standards with appropriate discernment of company objectives and schedules
Ensures proper root cause resolution of field and centralized services questions
Executes Gold Change Order processes and plan updates properly as required
Performs other duties as needed or required
Results/Accountability
Achieves x/day production of one plan post per day
Achieves 5% construction variance on all lot-specific plans
Delivers all lot-specific plans with 100% accuracy required
Qualifications
Associate degree in Architectural Drafting with relevant work experience required
One year of construction or field experience required
Three years of experience in home building industry preferred
Experience with AutoCAD Architecture or equivalent software required
Must have a high level of functional ability to navigate within the software and execute complicated technical commands with little to no direction
Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation required for travel in NC and SC as needed

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
Associate needs to occasionally move about the office to access standard office equipment, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
