Area Manager

Our client is a leading with chemical manufacturing on a global stage. The ideal candidate will be familiar with continuous chemical manufacturing and bring strong leadership to the table.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee managerial and technical support for the production area.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization strategies.
• Identify and support capital project needs.
• Apply analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet plant goals, ensuring department members are well-led, trained, and motivated.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations, optimizing plant reliability, asset utilization, operational sustainability, and cost control.
• Execute production plans to meet customer demands in terms of quantity, timing, and quality.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop, communicate, and implement short and long-term business plans.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
• 4-6 years of production experience, including more than two years in operations supervision.
• Proficient in analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to foster a strong safety culture.
• Strong team leadership skills for directing and developing personnel.
• Advanced skills in analysis, statistics, and reasoning, with the ability to quickly interpret complex data and assess risks.
• Successful track record in building relationships with customers and colleagues within the company.
• Extensive experience with lean and six sigma methodologies.
• Effective communication skills for presenting to all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and potential for advancement within the organization.
